US Government
Business Visa System
In order to get a business visa, you
must have a permanent job in the U.S, or an employer
willing to sponsor you. The U.S. government uses several
levels of preference when determining who to issue
business visas to. The amount of time you wait for your
business immigration visa to be issued is determined
by a preference system and your country of origin.
The first level of preference is for
persons of extraordinary ability. This category includes
professors, researchers and multinational executives or
managers. In this category, you may be able to petition
without an employer sponsor. Secondary preference is
given to members of the professions with advanced
degrees or exceptional ability.
The third level of level of preference
is for skilled workers, or those who can perform work
that requires at least two years of experience or
training. Workers in this category include professionals
with baccalaureate degrees and other workers who perform
work that is not temporary or seasonal.
Treaty Traders
and Treaty Investors
If you are a national of a country that
the U.S. has a treaty of commerce and navigation
with, U.S. law allows you to obtain a Eclass immigration
visa. A treaty trader is a person who is coming to the
U.S. to engage in substantial trade that is mostly
between the U.S. and the treaty country. A treaty
investor is a person who comes to the U.S. to manage an
enterprise the person has invested in, or is in the
process of investing a significant amount of capital.

In addition to the systems described
above, The Ratliff Legal Group will consider other laws
